My son's Sony Viao laptop won't boot. I removed the hard drive and connected
it to my desktop with a USB adapter. It appears to have two partitions. One
is about 100MB and contains some bootmgr software. The other is
inaccessible. In fact trying to access it locks up my computer. Both the
laptop and desktop are running Windows 7. I have a copy of Ubuntu but don't
know how to use it. Any recommendations to access the damaged partition?
