Mr.
Lazarus will provide an overview of regulatory issues
confronting designers and developers of ultra-high frequency
devices operating in the tens of GHz. Mr. Lazarus specializes
in obtaining FCC approvals for innovative technologies. Expert
in the agency’s arcane legal and technical rules, he advises
clients on radar, surveillance and security devices,
unlicensed radio, fixed microwave, and broadband technologies,
among others. He also contributes to the CommonLawBlog,
detailing new technologies and the issues regarding regulating
the radio spectrum.
Desmond Fraser, President of Rheintech
Laboratories
Mr. Fraser will provide an overview
of the measurements issues confronting testing of ultra-high
frequency devices, including antenna types, conversion and
mixing challenges and site requirements. Mr. Fraser is an EMC
engineer with extensive design, troubleshooting and mitigation
experience. He has been working unique radar and RCS problems
with broadband, multi-GHz technologies.
