Hackers and the US Power grid

I've been working on some fault detection sensors for deployment on 
underground residential distribution (URD) systems, and the utilities 
are pretty paranoid about how the boxes are secured.  I'm hoping that 
the days of unsecured SCADA systems are all but gone.
