You can't.
It will go in the slot, but the pins won't go into the connector. It
is generally pretty obvious because the card extends out nearly 1/4
inch more than normal. Some slots are a bit narrower (top to bottom)
and some cards are a bit thicker, and in that combination they are
very difficult to slide in at all.
It is PCMCIA, by the way. It was such a difficult term to remember
they tried to rename it to PC Card. That really didn't take.
