next x11 dumb question

When you say "gui console" what exactly do you mean?  Based on not wanting to connect a keyboard and screen, I'm guessing that "startx or xinit" are not what you're looking for as an answer.

If it's "how do I run the Raspberry Pi's window manager, whatever that may be, to manage windows on my Windows 7 screen", I'm not sure that's such a great idea.  Generally Mac and Windows (and truth be told, Linux) x11 displays have their own local windows manager running; you generally can't run two at the same time anyway.

xterm -C might be what you're looking for - that will run an xterm that intercepts any console messages that syslog or other stuff might spit out…

But what are you trying to do?
