Alex,

 

Both Andre and I have had situations when the enhanced version looses the
USB connection and throws an “avrdude out of sync” error. I have submitted a
bug report to the author. I would recommend holding off for a bit.

Is the opinion of the enhanced software still good? Has anyone had any
problems with it?
I've been running 1.0.4 since I started working with Arduino.  It was a
little tricky to install.  The way it saves programs and locks the files is
a bit odd. I have it installed on a XP dual core laptop which also can boot
up into Ubuntu.  I haven't tried installing the Arduino program under
Ubuntu.
