Alberto,

Yes, this illustration appeared on the cover of a December issue of Ham 
Radio Magazine, and it featured an ... AVOmeter, fairly unknown in the US.
I used to have one, a zillion years ago
  I loved the test-lead clips, and the resettable fuse, and the mirror 
on the scale... and.
In fact it was a very good all-around meter for 50 years ago. (But, as I 
recall, only 20K? per volt ?)
