Things about books:

1. Batteries not included. Batteries not needed.
2. Almost all world knowledge contained.
3. Supports graphics.
4. Portable.
5. Many people have necessary software pre-installed. Upgrades rarely required.
6. Excellent carbon repository, reducing CO2 levels.
7. When civilization falters, can provide comfort and hope (be burnt for warmth).

In summary, they've got to be the next Big Thing.

PS. A public library without books probably isn't a 'public library'. It'll be a suburban learning resource centre (SLRC).
