Some manufacturers have spec sheets available online that list charging 
recommendations.  Unfortunately, the "some" is very few.

Otherwise, Battery University, at batteryuniversity.com provides a lot 
of information on all kinds of batteries.  There is an article on 
charging lead acid batteries.
