Didn't they say the same thing about the Republican Party?   :-)

This is more like "Broadband over 'Phone Lines". BT bankrolled our fibre network by selling off the recovered copper (thus saving other crooks the trouble), but there are little bits of copper in out-of-the-way places across the UK.
