Macbook Pro cleansing?

I have a late 2008 Macbook Pro that I'm thinking of selling.  Can anyone 
here give me an idea of how to clean off all the personal stuff before 
sending it elsewhere?  Stuff like my name on it, my login for iTunes, and 
other things that I wouldn't want others to have.  I'd like to not wipe the 
disc if possible, so the next owner has a basic operating system.  From what 
I can tell, Apple doesn't even let you put an OS onto the machine without an 
iTunes account.
