To build out its 5G systems, Verizon is considering use of frequencies in the 3.5 GHz

band, in part of which the Citizens' Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) operates.  The

CBRS is also used by hams for High Speed Multimedia (HSMM) for point-to-point

interconnection of local networks using repurposed 802.11 hardware.


Those interested in HSMM may want to follow this as it develops.
