Subject: Status: Terry McCarty WA5NTI

Stu WA5NTI and I visited Terry WA5NTI at his new location at Potomac Place assisted care located at 2133 Montgomery Avenue, Woodbridge, VA 22191 (http://www.potomacplace.com/) on Saturday.

He is in Apartment #205 located just upstairs from the visitor entrance. They have a sign-in book and there is a receptionist at the entrance. He is doing fine and very happy to have visitors. He has difficulty getting words out, but if you are patient with the QRN and ask questions to figure it out, he is able to talk through some conversation. Terry seems to be a little more focused on working on his speech and conversation certainly helps and motivates him. His mind seems to still be pretty sharp and it is clearly frustrating to him to have difficulty getting his thoughts out to words. He is able to get up and walk about with his cane although he still lacks full control of his right arm.

He indicated that his plans were to sell his house and possibly move to assisted living in Florida in the future. For the near term, he will be at Potomac Place and looking forward to visiting with anyone that wants to stop by and chat.
