I believe the break point for producing oil in the US is $40 which price
we have been below for a while.
If you can remember back to 9/11/01 air traffic was shut down for a
couple of days. That shut down actually showed up in weather
statistics. I hope scientists somewhere are keeping track of the
environment as this huge reduction in the production of green house
gases could have noticeable effects.
I live in Woodbridge Virginia, a DC suburb about a 1/4 mile from
interstate 95. It is of course subjective but I do think the air smells
sweeter these days.
