Yaesu HF rigs from the 1990s…

Is anyone here a past master of larger Yaesu HF rigs from the 1990s?

I have in front of me an (early I think but who knows) ft1000.

Are the connectors that are represented in the manual as DIN connectors on the back “actually DIN” or are they some kind of magical unicorn “almost din but don’t you dare plug in real din or you’ll mess up the connector” connectors a la Icom?

Need a clue please.
