Amazingly simple.  I understand that switched mixers perform very
well, too.  I'm wondering about a simple way to add gain,
preferably after the mixers.  Probably audio amps optimized for
high-Z input.  Maybe simple FET-input op amps.  But a tuned
preselector would probably work just as well.
