Brian,

One of our AMRAD fellows, Sandy, WB5MMB, has gone to the mountains away
from all sorts of noise and has heard SAQ on a good night in the winter.
In the summer, all the sferics cover up any SAQ signal.

He uses a Cubic R3030 receiver which is very good. I doubt he would
have any chance with a sound card.

We would copy LF signals that were very weak with a narrowband spectrum
display like ARGO but SAQ has too much wobble to send through a super
narrow filter.

Sandy should be at the AMRAD Hamvention cook out as well as the
Hamvention and the AMRAD spot and you can find out about his adventures
with SAQ.
