Schumann Resonance Receiver

Interesting Frank.

I tried to build a Schumann receiver earlier this year. I used OPA2350 op-amps which claim very high input impedance.
I used two lengths of Aluminium ducting as the antenna - the receiver is differential. I never managed to get it
quiet and stable enough. I suspect the response went down too low, but maybe I should try a different circuit.
I got diverted to other projects as we so often do, and it sits in the drawer.

I have a few more of those hi-qual 994.4 MegOhm (long story) and some 508.5Meg too. The packets claim 0.5%
accuracy, if you believe it. I can bring some when I fly over on Wednesday ...

  tacoistas,

Back when we were looking into LF systems, George Lemaster brought up
Schumann Resonance and an article by Scott Fusare, N2BJW.

Meanwhile we have been looking into a number of things while things were
advancing on this front.

Today, I just happened to look into Schumann Resonance to see what might
have been going on. There is an interesting web site on it at

http://home.flash.net/~evogel/ev-schu.html

With careful construction, a 100 gigaohm resistor and a stainless steel
ball, it appears you can build a suitable receiver of your very own.

Once you get it working you can observe the Schumann Resonance. After
that, ......
