A fat mid-range and warm liquid tone ?

I recently read an article that described the BC107/108/109 transistor series as "classic, vintage devices". Gosh, I felt old. I guess what they meant was, "they come in mysterious METAL packages." Of course the extra can capacitance undoubtedly adds to their mojo... although not as much in silicone as in geranium.
