  Columbia University? Really? Perhaps professor Hughes was suffering 
from a flash back acid trip. Whatever his intent, I can't say much for 
his intro.
Obviously his version of  teaching a 'Frontiers of Science' class has 
little in common with leaning something about Quantum Physics, at least 
as I understand it.
I'd say that was a wasted fifty minutes for everyone present. Perhaps 
the dear professor is in need of a little R&R. If I were enrolled I'd 
drop that course, pronto.
