Microsoft opening up .NET

I've seen several messages and announcements regarding Microsoft opening up
.NET to the open-source community, as well as releasing the latest Visual
Studio (Community) for no-cost. The .NET is specifically targeted to the
Linux and MacOS communities.

Hopefully, this means that some Windows programs may run natively under
Linux very soon (no WINE, etc). In fact, the Mono group is already actively
integrating Microsoft code into their project. Check out the HPSDR
reflector for rather interesting developments.

It's funny, not one word of mention of this development here on tacos. This
is a HUGE deal.
