The heat of the day is generally not so oppressive that we look forward to the cooler evening hours, and we have plenty of daylight to enjoy outdoor activities such as bicycling, golfing, and other social activities after work. Not only that, Michigan is situated at the far western end of the Eastern time zone, so in late June/early July, it's light until nearly 10pm here.
