In my excitement I forgot to mention that this is a bi-coastal affair.
Martin, W6MRR also has his Red Pitaya working as an SDR. The programming
was done by Pavel Demin, and is available on his github site:

Well, my Red PItaya board came a couple of days ago, and after playing with
the "test instrument" apps available for it, I tried the SDR app. These
test instruments are NOT lab quality, but could be useful nevertheless.
Especially the spectrum analyzer.

It took a while to get it going as an SDR, thanks to Windows vs Linux issues
(EOL being CR/LF vs LF?). Once that was straightened out, it started
playing nicely with both HDSDR and SDRSharp. I've had it listening to 40
Meters, both CW and SSB.

I need to add something to the ADC front end, as it doesn't have any
protection, and is probably a little deaf, but it does pick up signals
pretty nicely.

Not bad for an advanced FPGA/SOC plus two-channel 125Msps DAC and ADC. It's
definitely worth the current $250 or so at Elektor. I'm a happy camper!
