AO-27 is sending AFSK

When AMRAD was building AO-27, there was an alleged, completely single-sourced, unverified report that alligator clip lead cables were used within the satellite (per AMRAD tradition). Those involved, especially Sandy, kept saying that those reports were not necessarily accurate. It is understood that the DoD is sending a crew up to “recover” AO-27 and answer this question once and for all. Mulder and Scully are suiting up for this mission.

The AMRAD Newsletter was noticeably silent on this subject.

Ok, I'll be the guy who asks.

Clip leads?
