You can only imagine how much that amazes us, poor Europeans....
In Italy the VAT (here called IVA) is a mere 20% of the price.
And buying goods e.g. in the States doesn't help either.... when the
merchandise arrives, you pay that bl**dy 20% PLUS a 4% duty taxes...
and this on the value of the goods PLUS what you paid for the shipment...

Aren't politicians wonderful ?     :-(
