EFRATOM LPRO-101 Rubidium 10MHZ Frequency Standard

I seea bunch of people selling the Efratom LPRO-101 rubidium standards 
on eBay and elsewhere.  One vendor shows they have 453 and others are 
selling them in lots of 20.  Price seems to be $100 each or less.

Most likely, these are from cell phone sites that have either been shut 
down, like AMPS, or others upgraded with newer standards because these 
are not satisfactory.

Anyone know what is going on?  Has anyone bought one of these?

They would seem to be very useful to synchronize modern communications 
signal processing techniques.
