Nice article about the advantage of FPGAs and their advantage over
ASICs.  Most is also applicable to processing in the computer with
software.  It is from the web site embedded.com and written by people
from Pentek.  A bit of commercial promotion but the article presents
good food for thought.

With the start of the Charleston SDR project at AMRAD, this article
presents some reasons to pursue FPGA implementation.

I think the article is important enough that I have converted and saved
