that would be a lot.....
they are insanely popular in the "Maker" universe
makezine.com
they come in a few different flavors - a couple of
different amounts of go-fast and a couple of different
form-factors. most of them work with "shields" which are
add-on IO cards.
they are amazingly cheap and there is some incredibly
cool software for them. if you haven't looked at
processing.org
you should.
you should also visit
adafruit.com
way, way, *way* cool stuff and by a woman engineer who's
making a go of it rather in the same mold of Don Lancaster.
she does some cool Arduino stuff and lots of other cool things.
and if you haven't seen MAKE magazine, you should probably
find a copy (and subscribe). it's sorta like "The Amateur
Scientist" (from SciAm) meets Popular Electronics (when it
was good) meets Popular Science (back when it had projects).
if that sounds familiar, it should.
their moto is wonderful: "If you can't open it, you don't own it."
and the masthead reads:
Void your warranty, violate a user agreement, fry a circuit, blow a
fuse, poke an eye out. Make: The risk-takers, the doers, the makers of
things... Welcome to Make: Online!
and the Maker Faires are a hoot! like a hamfest, but fun and with a
median age less than granite.
