Idaho currently has a proposal to not go on daylight time. That
would create interesting things. Idaho is in two different time zones.
Northern Idaho is in pacific time, southern Idaho is in mountain time.
If the bill passed, then in summer, driving east from Washington, you
would set you clock back 1 hour, then when you hit the Montana border,
you would set it ahead 2 hours. In southern Idaho, you would drive west
to eastern Oregon and set your clock ahead 1 hour(a small part of
eastern Oregon is in mountain time). I think all of the state should be
in mountain time with no daylight savings.

The heat of the day is generally not so oppressive that we look forward to the cooler evening hours, and we have plenty of daylight to enjoy outdoor activities such as bicycling, golfing, and other social activities after work. Not only that, Michigan is situated at the far western end of the Eastern time zone, so in late June/early July, it's light until nearly 10pm here.
