As a general rule, corporations don't offer freebies without
attaching strings. Initially I clicked on the window icon so I would
have the option to download Win 10 but decided against it after reading
about numerous problems. However, Sly Old Billy Gates kept pestering me
to update by sneaking in popup reminders on my screens at random
intervals. That is until I located and removed the insistent reminder
update file. To avoid a recurrence I now manually scrutinize every new
update listed and checkout it's function before proceeding. I no longer
have ANY trust in Microsoft or its hidden agendas, whatever they may be.
These four files continue to be offered when I check for updates but
I've permanently banned them from my Win 7 machine.
