I am resending this sad notice to all AMRAD folks received through the GARC
mailing list. Like others, I had many interesting conversations with W3HXF
at Tippys Tacos in Fairfax.

I just noticed in the archives of Tacos mailing list, he sometimes included
his home and personal contact details, just in case should anyone wish to
make contact with his family.

Folks,

I heard from Bill Scholtz W3HXF’s wife Judith today that Bill became a
silent key on February 12th after a series of hospitalizations.



He was a past President of GARC, a frequent contributor to our Thursday
night nets and aided in the construction and testing of the early OSCAR
satellites.

Sorry for the sparse biographical info, but his QRZ page was removed.
Perhaps other members can provide more details.



There will be a celebration of his life held later this spring. TBD
